After School Drama Book Club

A book club with a difference. The weekly after-school club use strategies to develop the pupils’   inference skills, while allowing them to immerse themselves in the text through song and drama. Once they have completed the book, pupils’ have the opportunity to create a performance demonstrating their understanding of the text and the main characters. To develop their confidence and public speaking skills they perform their work to their parents and/or the school,

I always like reading but now I understand the contents not just the words.

Now I know how to read with expression and get the audience to feel what I’m feeling as the character.
