Literacy Led Singing workshops that convert books covered in the National curriculum, into dramatic pieces, scripts or songs. Our focus is to develop inference skills based on the content of the recommended book or author. Sing a Book puts them together in an interesting and engaging way, which levels of readers can access.
Sing a Book can write dramatic pieces, scripts or songs in advance, on the day of the workshop or use an exciting song from our repertoire. Songs based on the following authors:
Anthony Browne; Benjamin Zephaniah; Beverly Naidoo; Julia Donaldson; Michael Rosen; Michael Morpurgo and CS Lewis.
By the end of the workshop pupils will have a high-quality production to perform that will just need a bit of rehearsing.
